Creating a business is challenging and we often find ourselves at different crossroads faced with numerous critical decisions -- too many to count -- and there is so much incoming information that we don't know the "right" path to take. What has struck me the most in working with women entrepreneurs is that most women don't "plan" their businesses but instead make to-do lists. These lists are essential for planning one's day-to-day tasks. And, in addition, a business plan is needed to help you create something remarkable and extraordinary.

The plan I'm talking about isn't a boring document... it is a living breathing map that expresses your passion and intentions while also spelling out your objectives and strategies. I have seen first-hand the confidence and excitement generated when a plan is formulated and put to paper. In this way, we will personally help you achieve results that you may have never before imagined.

None of us have time or money to waste. This program is about taking on the serious task of building your business and making money. The tools and steps, some less glamorous than others, are those I have lived with and written about in my books, columns and blogs, and are the ones that have proven throughout my consulting to be essential.

What I Promise if you complete the program and tasks

During the program you will:

• Clearly define what you intend to create.
• Outline the strategies you will use to achieve your business and personal goals
• Write a one page plan using the same system I use (required for program)
• Work directly with me as well as other members of my team
• Speak with me for one hour per week
• Receive direct input and guidance on the process in between calls via email
• Provide progress updates throughout the course
• Have my support as you wrestle with whatever shows up in this process
• Receive my honest and candid input, even if it means I need to tell you what you may, for the moment, not wish to hear
• Get the best insight and support I am able to offer

At the end of this five week program you will have:

• An organized plan for your business including focus, direction, measurable goals, clearly defined strategies

Program structure

This program will entail weekly calls and significant thought, planning and work in between calls. While this will involve substantial effort, most find it to be energizing and satisfying. Throughout this process we will have email exchanges reviewing drafts.  We have laid out a sample schedule and content below. This plan may be modified for your specific circumstances but we want you to understand and accept the basic overview of what we plan to cover in the process. Completing everything below will be contingent on your own commitment and effort.

The general program plan is as follows:

• Five week program
• Complete informational survey about your business, status, aspirations and goals
• First week to launch based on mutual schedule alignment
  • Week 1
    • Discuss goals
    • Assess status
    • Initiate planning process
    • Agree on schedule
  • Week 2
    • Review, complete draft Vision (what are you building?) & Mission (who are you in service of?)
    • Initiate Objectives, Strategies, Action Plans
  • Week 3
    • Review, complete draft Objectives, Strategies, Action Plans
    • Initiate discussion of marketing, branding & publicity strategies
  • Week 4
    • Review revised plan draft
    • Discussion use of social networks
  • Week 5
    • Fine tune marketing, branding & publicity strategies
    • Finish new plan draft
    • Suggest relevant resources & follow-up
    • Program Feedback
• One telephone call each week, approximately 1 hour each (5 total)
• Completion of assigned tasks will be required each week
• Email feedback provided in between calls

Given the distinctly unique nature, status, goals, and pace of each entrepreneur, the schedule and outcome and actual tasks will vary. I will be there to support you but you will be doing much of the work. Therefore, in discussion with you, I will reserve the right to make adjustments to this program for scheduling and task completion purposes.
