Those critical questions include:

• Does my product already exist?
• Does my invention infringe on existing patents?
• Is my idea patentable? If so, what kind of patent makes sense? (Provisional, Utility, Design)
• What questions or concerns will a prospective licensee (manufacturer) have about my invention?

These are both legal and business questions you must ask yourself. You are capable of answering most of these questions yourself and I have explained how in my book, The Mom Inventors Handbook. * Requires completion of the online patent search form. Limited to 2 hours patent search time and 20-minute consultation regarding results. At a minimum, patent searching takes 2 – 3 days.
