  1. Hello, just browsing through your website. I have a lot of IDEAS, so I'm just checking my option.
I have a question? are your advertisement random (L&L & building prototypes.com) , or advertiser that you recommend.

    thank you for your time,
    Toni

  2. Tamara,

I came cross your article "The inside scoop on manufacturing" on AOL small business, love it. I think you are giving those small business owner with a product some great advise on manufacturing. I am the Account Manager of China Wang, LLC in Houston, Texas (www.chinawang.com) We help small business have their product made in China. I have had so many customers who seems has a great product or invention, but has no clue what it takes to manufacture them. Some choose to work with a factory in China directly not knowing the risk, get burned and come back to us for help. I will definately refer your website to some of my prospects.

  3. Tamara,
First of all, thank so much for this website! It has been a HUGE networking and information tool for me. Secondly I just wanted to post a quick note and maybe and idea. I was one of the moms that attended an Open Call for the TLC show with Kelly Ripa. I met some amazing women and saw a lot of product I myself would LOVE to have! I have read blogs and comments on how frustrated women are about how misleading they felt it all was. Like most of us, we are struggling to get our product off the ground and into peoples home. For 2 reasons, we believe in the value of our product and also to build a financially stable life for our families. With that, a woman I was talking to at the open call was saying with SO MANY fantastic products we should ALL network together and start a Women Invented Trade show! It is absolutely proven that women know better what's needed for their families and come up with the best products. It would be a great way of networking, selling, and promoting our ideas. It could be open to the public for sales and we could rent booth space not only to "US" obviously but also to companies that help inventors get off the ground. I think it would be a HUGE success. With so much on my plate (like all of us) before I start this journey I wanted to get some feedback. Anyone reading this I would love to know your thoughts! Thanks! Jennie

  4. Tamara,
I just saw you building your Home Office/Warehouse on DIY. That led me to look up your company online, and I love your site. I signed up for your newsletter, and look forward to perusing your site. I am always looking for great Women-in-Business tip sites!
    Thanks,
    Melissa

  5. Hi, Tamara:

Mom Invented is a fabulous site with so much support and information for all of us! Thank you! In the spirit of sharing information, I wanted to bring your attention to a blog which I contribute to at http://www.womentors.blogspot.com - Melinda Knight, the blog's author is getting ready to launch a website called "Womentorz" which is going to be an incredible place for all of us women inventors to sell our products in a very uncomplicated way. You can read all about it on the blog, but what Melinda is doing is really incredible!

There area a number of us who have connected through the casting process for the upcoming show with Kelly Ripa/TLC/HSN/Discovery Network. We all realize it's a long shot for our inventions to be chosen for the show and are trying to keep our ideas and the momentum moving forward. I believe that only great things can happen through all of this networking!

I realize you are busy and time is precious, but I do hope you'll take a moment to check it out!

Have a great day and good luck to all of us!

  6. Hi Tamara,
I love your Mom Inventors book and new site.

In your Mom Inventors Book you have a quote from the owner of Protosew, I recently submitted my invention idea to them. I thought if you included this company in your book they must be pretty good!
Well, It has been 1 week and they told me they haven't looked at my project yet. I was wondering if you know of any other mom inventor that has used this company and if you still recommend them?

    Thanks A Million!

  9. Hello Tamara:

Nice work! I like your website and I am always inspired by mom entrepreneurs like you.

I have sent an email to info@mominventors.com to share my story.
I am so excited about an innovative product that I design and make. I invented a liner technology currently being used in baby bibs & burp cloths. My products are sold online at http://www.awowbaby.com and in select Boutiques.

I hope to hear from you soon. Let me know if you have any questions.

    Happy Mother's Day!

  10. P.S. Your site definitely speaks inspiration! Nicely done.

  11. Hi Tamara,

I'm new to the world of entrepreneurship. Your book, The Mom Inventors Handbook, started me on my journey this past January 09. Thank you! I recently wrote a brief review of your book on my blog which journals my real-time journey in starting a business and being a mom, My Business Adventures, and offered your book as a giveaway for a contest that I ran.

I look forward to following your blog,
    LeNesha

  12. Great looking site!! Thanks for all of your hard work and generous sharing!

  13. Thank you all for your wonderful comments! I love hearing from you.

    Tamara

  14. Hi Sara,

Thanks for your message! Your point is well-taken. The women that are featured have shared their story with us and many are child or cosmetic related. There are some stories in our archive with other types of products in case you haven't seen them. Why don't you Share Your Story (under Contact tab on the top nav bar) so we can hear about your product!

If you know women with products in other categories, I'd love them to share their story too!

    With appreciation,

    Tamara

  15. It seems like the only inventors you have featured have developed products that have something to do with their children. I'd love to hear from mom inventors who have created more general/broader products than that. Women have a lot more creative and innovative products to offer than just children's or beauty products, yet we hear so little about mom inventors who are impacting other industries.
    Thanks for listening,

the great information. As a new mom inventor and a new blogger the experiences

    has been great.

    Great Job Tamara!!

  18. I love the new site. Can't wait to click around.

  19. Hello there,
I have your book, which I love, and have referred to many times, and am a member of your website. Blogging is a natural progession for any creative endeavor, and you will love the dimension it brings to everyone involved.
I'm an artist and started an art blog several months ago. It's been the best experience. I am an inventor too! (WrapADoodle- the Blanket That Holds Your Baby). and started a blog a couple of weeks ago about the process of bringing an idea to market. I'm just getting started.
Welcome to the wide world of blogging. The conversation is what it's all about these days.......:)

  20. I too like the new look of the site.
1 question though...We don't have to re-subscribe if we subscribed originally, do we?

I am a twitter follower....you can follow me at @missobara

  21. Kerry,

Thanks for your great suggestion. We are going to make that change this week.

    Tamara

  22. love to have this blog! thanks for getting it going.. :) best wishes!

  23. Tamara,

I love the new website! It's clean and fresh and makes me want to stay and check it all out to see what I've been missing this last year while I've been sewing!

For now - I'd like to ask one small favor...When I click on a link, that website opens in the same window. I'd love for the links to open in a new window so I don't have to back track to your site to where I was. I think links opening in new windows are most helpful to have folks on your site longer and not get lost on long bird walks.

I look forward to sharing my story soon!!! Thanks for all the great info! Kerry

  24. Hi Julie,

Thanks for the recommendation. It sounds good. Have you or anyone else that you know used their services successfully? If so, which ones?

  25. Here is a good new site that might be helpful for moms looking to launch a new line:

Thought it was sort of cool...
